The Year 2000 saw the creation of the Port of Victoria’s Industrial Park. The Port Commission acquired 1,800 acres along State Highway 185 for development. The rail spur access road has been improved and additional road access has been planned. The strategic plan calls for water treatment systems and elevated water supply system. Ample electric power is available through an adjacent substation. State FM 1432 is designated as a heavy lift corridor.

The most recent success in the Industrial Park is a 36,000 square foot “build to suit” metal fabrication unit complete with 30 ton overhead cranes for a power generation manufacturing customer, Valerus. The company will employ over 100 people and have an economic impact of over $25 million annually. This $1.5 million project was completed in just 3 months and is a prime example of how the Port of Victoria Industrial Park can help your business grow.
